Stage Show A visual performance spectacle of costumes, masks, dance, video and slides supported by an eclectic mix of world percussion, digeridoo, harmonica, guitar, clarinet, voice and bassoon. The stage show is the culmination of 6 years of intense collaboration between artists of various disciplines including theatre, music and dance. The sound is atmospheric, funky, jazzy, trancy and always adaptable to the event at hand. Experience an afternoon or evening of entertainment, in a Cathedral of cool, hot on the trail of improvised musical inspiration. Every show is a profoundly unique experience! The music of The Subtonic Monks has been greeted by standing ovations at both The National Arts Centre and The Dora Mavor Moore Awards Events. The Monks have also been heard at a variety of festival, community and corporate events and on film and television sound tracks including CBC's The National, TVO's Stuff and Teletoons' Splat TV. The Monks continue to perform for their third season with the CFL Champion Toronto Argonauts.
