Zoosse-Mobiles
This is a quick time movie Humongous peddleable stages, up to 24 ft. long and 12 ft. high made from recycled materials. Noise makers are everywhere with drums made from washer and dryer tubs, Chinese woks, plastic buckets and wooden cheese barrels. Bells are made from pots and pans, car parts, a beer keg sliced in half, recycled kids toys and bits of plumbing; the frame of the Cycle itself become an instrument and yes, there's even a kitchen sink. The Cycles are interactive and are peddled into the area with professional drummers spicing the air with a fusion of rhythms from around the world. After five or ten minutes the rhythms have warmed up the audience and they are invited to join in on the Cycle; drumsticks are passed out to everyone and it is a rare occasion when the drummers are not swamped by audience members eager to play.
The Subtonic Zoosse-mobiles facilitate audience participation and traverses all cultures. Both the sales women at the Mary K cosmetics convention as well as the bohemians at the International Courier Races joined the drummers without hesitation. The Cycles were the icing on the cake at the final parties of the Canadian Theatre Awards, and a Party for Canadian Microsoft. The vibration-Cycle is a stage for the kids, performers engage the children and or adults in theatrics around the Cycles. Performers play hand held percussion instruments to assist in creating a unified rhythm for those who wish to join in.
